Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn was an intellectual and a writer that witnessed and experienced life in Russia after the Bolshevik Revolution! His parents did not want to give up their faith in God and as a result his family became outcasts. He ultimately ended up in a Gulag Prison Camp for eight years after criticizing Stalin in a letter that he wrote while serving in the army during World War II. He wrote many things during his life, but his primary focus was to try to figure out WHY the men and women in his country of Russia gave in and rolled over allowing the communists to go on an almost 80 year rampage of death and destruction that saw many of his countrymen robbed, jailed, tortured, and over 60 million actually killed for their beliefs. As he wrote in what you see above, he spent his entire life trying figure out where his people went wrong! AS WE SPEAK, AMERICA IS NOW ON THE VERY SAME PATH! Today, Americans are giving in and rolling over as fast as they possibly can while trying to keep their “heads down” in order to survive and hold on to what little they have left when what they should be doing is standing up against tyranny and putting up a FIGHT! Solzhenitsyn many times in his writings placed the blame for everything that happened in Russia in those days not on Lenin, Stalin, or on the Communists, but squarely on the backs of the Russian people who did not do a damn thing to stand up to the tyranny they were facing in the early days of the Revolution while they still had the chance and the opportunity to do something about it.
